Shane Gremo

Hi there! My name is Shane Gremo, and I'm currently a finance and management information systems student at the University of Delaware. I am eager to share my inspiring personal history, which has shaped me into the hard-working, dedicated individual I am today.

Growing up as an only child in South Jersey, I attended Ocean City High School from 2016 to 2020. My parents owned and operated multiple successful restaurants and concession stands, providing me with invaluable experience and exposure to the workings of a business. These experiences helped me develop my business acumen and gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to run a prosperous enterprise.

However, in 2008, my life took a challenging turn when my mother became chronically ill and disabled. As a young child, I had to take on a great deal of responsibility and learn how to navigate personal and family struggles. Although difficult, this experience helped me develop a strong work ethic and the ability to handle stressful situations with composure and resilience. Moreover, it strengthened my faith as I witnessed God work within the brokenness of my life. This experience taught me the power of perseverance and optimism in the face of adversity.

I have since applied the lessons I learned from my early experiences to my current life, academics, and career. Today, I am a driven and ambitious individual committed to personal and professional growth. I believe that my past challenges have given me a unique perspective and a solid foundation to build upon. I'm confident that I can make meaningful contributions to my future employer, the Lerner College of Business and Economics, and the broader community.

As an incoming investment banking summer analyst at Truist Securities, I'm passionate about exploring the financial world and making impactful contributions. Besides academics and my career, I'm also heavily involved with on-campus organizations both within and outside the business space. I strive for a well-rounded life and enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets. Additionally, I maintain my mental and physical health through activities such as going to the gym, playing basketball, reading, and playing chess.

My Christian faith is a significant part of my life, and I find solace in reading scripture and growing my faith. Recently, I founded Tees4Christ, a Christian apparel company that donates all profits to Christian organizations. This endeavor has been a fulfilling way to combine my faith and entrepreneurial spirit.
